Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP)
The CEMP: Biodiversity document is to ensure that all works on site comply with relevant legislation in relation to protected species and that the CEMP is adhered to throughout the construction phase of development. The plan will provide advice to developers and contractors on how best to minimise impacts on wildlife throughout the construction phase of development.
The Ecological Clerks of Work (ECoW) supervisor will be the main point of contact should any issues relating to ecology arise during construction. The ECoW will make the relevant people aware of any ecological issues that occur during the construction phase. A ‘toolbox talk’ will be given by the ECoW on protected species and sensitive habitats to contractors carrying out work within the site are undertaken. The ECoW will ensure supervision of any construction activities that have the potential to impact on protected species and/or sensitive habitats.
Within the CEMP is a timetable of construction related activities that will be adhered to.
